Abstract

In his Crítica a la razón mítica, Franz Hinkelammert states that the Modern Western civilization inherits from pre-modernity several mythical elements, which are assimilated under a completely transformed appearance. This transformation is often called “secularisation”. However, under this concept the primordial mythical contents remain intact in the “secular” latemodern consciousness.
