Abstract

An important contribution for the marxism in the 20th century was the theory of reification of György Lukács. Upon a reflection on the marxist concept of “merchandise fetishism”, the hungarian thinker’s proposition decisively influenced on the coming marxist thought, particularly, that of the School of Frankfurt. Currently, the thought of the author of history and class consciousness reveals an undeniable vitality.
