Abstract

This essay provides a reflection on fascism. The author is aware of what its victims warn: fascism must not be understood. Does it have any sense to reflect on something that “must not be understood”? In this first part of the essay, the question is elucidated. Next, the visions on fascism by Lévinas and Benjamin are presented. Finally, and concluding with this first part, the author shows the so-called “spiritual” influx of fascism and how its myth was created.
