It was found that the main reason that causes the destruction of the RBB is the lack of productive consciousness, ignoring protection laws established by the authorities, adding the low incidence of the institutions responsible for ensuring compliance with these. It is noteworthy that Bosawás is not just a problem in the region but should be of national interest. It is essential to know that a strategy is needed to develop a forest economy that recognizes the economic value of forest conservation.
