Abstract

This article is a fairly new theme, is the conceptualization and economic importance of the Virtual water analysis, into the natural capital sustainability academic discussion, and as we know water is a natural resource of vital so much importance as an input is the main production processes, as well as also essential to sustain life, therefore should be considered one of the main components of the natural capital of a nation, and we must analyze its rational use, its replacement and maintenance to ensure the sustainability of the economic structure.  Therefore content is focused on conceptual aspects for understanding that we refer to as heard on Virtual water, what is the relationship and difference between this concept and the water footprint? As we can quantify it, and because it is important to do so.  Here is presented a little exercise on the basis that is required of water to produce some products which occupy a considerable place in the productive structure, allowing us to sit down and consider that we are doing to ensure the use of the resources today and in the future
