This paper shows an estimate of the potential production and output gap of Nicaragua using the Hodrick-Prescott filter (1980), with data from the Central Bank of Nicaragua reports, from 1980 to 2014. The results of the estimation show that the level of production is above the potential product, which pushes up prices.
