This study evaluates the effectiveness of a creative writing workshop in overcoming narrative difficulties and fostering critical thinking in seventh-grade C students at Colegio 14 de Septiembre. A mixed-method design was employed, combining diagnostic tests, surveys, and a post-test to analyze students' progress. Findings reveal improvements in coherence, organization, and creativity in the texts produced, as well as in students' critical reflection on their creations. Seventy-five percent of participants demonstrated a better understanding of narrative structure and significant improvement in the argumentation of their creative decisions. Additionally, 80% of students indicated that the workshop increased their interest in writing and literary analysis. These results suggest that creative writing, implemented as a didactic strategy, strengthens students' narrative and critical skills, promoting a more reflective and interactive learning process. It is recommended that such workshops be applied in various educational contexts to foster literary development and analytical skills in secondary students.
