The appearance of the book Brief manual to recognize mini-stories, in 1997, published by the Autonomous Metropolitan University of Mexico, under the authorship of the Venezuelan teacher and researcher Violeta Rojo (1959) would mark at that time a contribution from criticism to the issues concerning minification, not only in Venezuela, but also in Latin America, a characteristic that makes it an important document for research on the subject.
