The Exodus of Yangana: a reflection of the individual, the theater and society in the work of Ángel Felicísimo Rojas

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the individual, the theater and society in Éxodo de Yangana by Ángel Felicísimo Rojas. To do so, we base ourselves on the figure of the individual in the aforementioned novel. In this area we see how his characters interpret relationships that build a worthy and fair imaginary of an egalitarian society. To this, we add how the theater symbolizes a catharsis and an escape route for the humiliations that the inhabitants of Yangana receive at the hands of the landowners. Finally, we represent the Yangana society, the one that fights to vindicate its rights, seeking a utopian desire for a better future. Using Michel Foucault's postulates in his theory of the archive, we will study the representation of the individual, theater and society in the novel.
