Abstract

This study focuses on the linguistic attitudes of UNAN-Managua interned students who speak Mayangna. It has been decided to carry out this study because of the lack of information on the indigenous peoples who inhabit our country; consequently, it is evident that there are no studies investigating this subject. In addition, this study is largely related to the National Education Strategy and the National Plan for the Fight against Poverty and for Human Development (PNLCP-DH) as they seek to strengthen the quality of education and promote values such as national identity, Inclusion and respect for cultural diversity. On the other hand, the research has a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) with interpretative paradigm and the application of an interview for data collection and decoding results. Once the results of the instrument were analyzed, it was found that the application of the language of the Mayangna is constant according to the context in which they are located and that mostly dominate 3 languages and value their identity.
