Abstract

The present study is an approach to the linguistic attitudes of Nicaraguans towards national Spanish and the linguistic variants of Spanish-speaking countries, the overall results of this study have been compiled in the book Linguistic Attitudes in Nicaragua: What We Think Nicaraguans about the Spanish we speak (Zamora, 2015). This essay presents an approximation of the linguistic and affective cognitive perception of Nicaraguan speakers towards national Spanish, a name given to the Spanish language; idiomatic correctness and correct and incorrect Spanish in Spanish-speaking countries
