Abstract

Introduction: Perthes Disease defined as a cascade of events that limited self produce different degrees of aseptic necrosis of the capital femoral epiphysis secondary to ischemia of unknown genesis. Usually affects children between 3 and 12, 5: 1 male to female ratio. Incidence At the global level is 2 per 100,000 thousand and 10.8 per 100,000 children in the USA. Honduras in 1986 reported an incidence Maternity Hospital in 1 case per 1,995 patients admitted in the period 1980-1985. Currently there are no national statistics on this disease. Case report: Conclusions: A late diagnosis, the more likely a deformed hip joint; the treatment is not always operative. This is indicated when medical treatment fails.
