Introduction: Postpartum hemorrhaging is the main cause of death among mothers in countries with low incomes, and the main cause of death of at least 1/4 of all mothers worldwide. The B-lynch suture technique has been used for massive postpartum hemorrhaging; this type of bleeding tends to happen most frequently in patients with a high obstetric risk factor. Clinical cases: There have been a series of cases carried out that analyze the results of applying a modified, prophylactic B-Lynch suture among 15 patients who underwent high-risk cesarean deliveries in two hospitals in the Honduran Secretary of Health. These births had high risk deliveries due to hemorrhaging from uteral hypotonia, and in the end not a single case resulted in either complications or mortality. Conclusions: The B-Lynch technique has proven its effectiveness in the absence of postpartum complications because it is easily accessible and due to its practical use in diminishing mortality in women with postpartum hemorrhaging.
