Background. End-stage renal disease is a pathology associated with living conditions and habits of people that will increase its incidence worldwide in the entire population even in women of childbearing age. Renal transplantation considered as renal replacement therapy has allowed women of childbearing age to successfully complete gestation. Objective. It is intended to perform a comprehensive review of the most up-to-date and relevant information on renal transplantation and pregnancy specifically the normality and health deviations in the pregnant woman with renal transplantation and some recommendations that favor the satisfactory termination of gestation. Methods. The present study consisted of a comprehensive search of articles with less than seven years of publication in PubMed, LILACS and Scielo databases, as well as textbooks in gynecology, selecting 20 articles for analysis. Development and Conclusion. If women transplanted in pregnancy receive multidisciplinary counseling and surveillance, then this will allow the gestation process to be a success.
