Migration of a bullet from a gunshot wound within the spinal canal after a resonance magnet study: case report

In Honduras gunshot wounds have become one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in adult trauma. The case of a 19 year old patient who suffered a gunshot wound at lumbar level with the bullet placed in the spinal canal is presented. A magnetic resonance study (MR) was performed and the patient reported have felted an ascending electric sensation at moment to be in the resonance magnetic room. He developed bilateral paresthesia in both hands. A posterior radiologic study confirmed the migration of the bullet to his cervical spine, between C6 and C7. The following is a case report with a review of the literature.
