Abstract

Introduction. The giants of ovarian cysts are rare and are related to malignant tumors and the surgical treatment includes an exploratory laparotomy. Clinical Case. This presents the case of a patient in the fifth decade of life with background gynecobstetric gravida:3, deliveries:2, abortions:1, total abdominal hysterectomy 15 years ago, with the presence of abdominal mass of 9 months of evolution, of approximately 182 milliliters (ml) x 203 millimetres. aspect of oval, which starts in mesogastrio until it reaches the pelvic hollow, with normal tumor markers; who underwent surgery through the video gynecologic laparoscopy surgery with the technique of Hasson. Giving high the day after surgery practiced, in excellent condition overall. Conclusion: The video gynecological laparoscopy is a surgical technique that helps our patients, to a more speedy recovery, with fewer days in hospital and therefore less cost to the institutions where the procedure is performed.
