The article entitled “An Approach to Organizational Climate at the National Civil Police (PNC) of El Salvador” is a modest contribution to the tenth issue of the journal “Police and Public Safety”. The general objective of the study is to make a brief, very preliminary and generic analysis of the current state of the organizational climate in the PNC from two basic moments of reference: its foundation and its present situation. The methodology used required the application of document review techniques, in-depth interviews and a survey. Almost all of the data analyzed were collected in a limited period; and also, the set of informants consulted was delimited by a certain pre-established profile. Therefore, the findings and overall results of this article must be adequately located, dimensioned and taken with caution, as well as the conclusions andrecommendations derived from them.
