Abstract

The presence of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases (CNCD) in personnel of the National Civil Police and its relationship with the working environment is
analyzed, how the latter promotes the emergence of such diseases. Official data from 2014 were analyzed and intersected with opinions of police personnel surveyed from all ranks, using a probabilistic sample. Descriptive results of the phenomenon and the relationship of the two study variables are presented. The findings indicate a latent health problem that affects the operation, related to the conditions in which police work is carried out.
