Abstract

In Honduras, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is incipient; However, this technology was no longer considered science fiction for communicators, but became part of their daily lives in the work ecosystem. How accepting are journalism professionals in the country in the face of the inevitable “invasion” of AI, sharing credits with an avatar and potentially being replaced by robots? In the
statements: AI and journalism or AI versus journalism, does the conjunction or the preposition win? A group of communicators was surveyed about the use of AI in this profession and, through the results, added to opinions and evaluations of experts on the subject, we will reflect on the two possibilities regarding this innovation: opposing Artificial Intelligence or appropriate it.
