Betty Reardon (1929-2023): world pioneer of Peace Education and human rights, with a gender focus. Educator and feminist activist, she was founder of the International Institute on Peace Education (IIPE) and promoter of peace education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Promoter of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security, candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize and promoter of multiple processes of transformative education around the world. Her commitment to a dialogic and reciprocal learning approach, centered on reflective educational practices and the feminist postulates that are part of her extensive and precious work, are Betty's legacy to humanity. In memoriam.
