VIOLENCES AT UNAM: A STUDY IN THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND LITERATURE

This article shows the results of two stages of a process of building a Culture of Peace and
Nonviolence by students and teachers of the Culture of Peace and Nonviolence course.
The first part consisted of an exploratory social research on the types of violence suffered
by the students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at UNAM and their perception of
violence in that space. In the second, organized students actions are taken up based on the
results of the research: two discussion forums for proposals to stop the identified violence
and the development of a graphic campaign of thirteen posters to raise awareness of these
violence and invite action of its eradication.
