The objective of this research was to evaluate the macrofungi present in strata of Pinus oocarpa of sector I in the forest of the National University of Forest Sciences, Siguatepeque, Comayagua, through a stratified sampling in 40 plots of 15 m x 15 m. The results showed the presence of 698 individuals belonging to 27 species, highlighting Stereum sp. (390 individuals), Coltriciella sp. (73 individuals) and Craterellus lutescens (50 individuals) for their greater abundance. Biodiversity indices revealed that stratum P2 presented the highest diversity, with a Shannon-Weaver index (H') of 1.01, while stratum P1 showed the lowest diversity (0.41). Regarding the Margalef index, P2 presented the highest specific richness (3.62), while the PE stratum presented the lowest (0.82). Simpson's index showed that P2 also presented the highest diversity (0.86), while P1 showed the highest dominance (0.57), suggesting an uneven distribution of species. It is concluded that macrofungi play an important role in the structure and functionality of ecosystems, and that their diversity and distribution may be indicative of the environmental health of the area.
