Abstract

The author considers that this article constitutes an effort to reflect on the way Salvadoran women enter the labour market. The author argues that the two factors that condition this style is, on the one hand, the sexual division of labour and, on the other, the process of devaluing the female workforce. These factors are seen from three indicators: unemployment rate, female labour force participation and wage gaps.
