The thesis in this article is that a large part of Mesoamerica, what is known as Central America at present, has never been neither socially nor politically integrated; therefore, the impossibility of future integration. This suggests that what must be aimed in the political arena is a peaceful coexistence that strengthens common interests in the political, economic, social, and cultural development.
