This research work determined the impact that innovation management has on the metal-mechanic industries of the Province of Guayas in exports from Ecuador to the Andean Community of Nations. The scope of this research is exploratory, descriptive and correlational, its methodology is explanatory, the design is non-experimental and transversal and its approach is quantitative. The results indicate that 53.8% of industries do implement innovation policies that materialize in new and improved products, also in 46.15% of industries if innovative processes are incorporated into production efficiently, among others. With a Spearman’s
Rho of 0.412 and a p value of 0.161> significance level of 0.05 and, similarly with Kendall’s Tau b correlation coefficient of 0.386 and a p value of 0.157> significance level of 0.05, it was found that there is not enough statistical evidence to affirm that innovation management carried out by the metalmechanic industries of the Guayas Province correlates significantly with exports from Ecuador to the Andean Community of Nations.
