Abstract

The author presents the positions of two Spanish philosophers regarding the category of subject: the Basque Xavier Zubiri and the Navarrese Gustavo Bueno. It is not a debate between the two, but how each of them approaches its own conception. The author seeks to provoke interest in the discussion of this concept, which is vital for both philosophy and science, and which has regained great importance in the field of the philosophy of chemistry, since without its consideration it is not possible to access a current view of reality.
