The author maintains the hypothesis, in the light of the historical analysis of atomism, of its evolution seen from philosophy and science, and its position in the light of the current vision of scientific and philosophical reality, that current and current of atomism is tested and maintained, regardless of the conceptions around the structure of elementary particles. For him, the the ultimate substances of universal reality are still atoms; elementary particles, quarks and leptons, are just manifestations of them that in no way alter its composition and structure.
