Abstract

This work analyzes the thinking of Peruvian José Carlos Mariátegui expressed in five fundamental pillars: The Indian problem as a problem National, The Need for Creative Socialism, The Importance of the Scene Americanism as an Identity Process and Culture and Politics as avant-garde references. This work will be presented in two instalments: The Indian problem as a national problem will be discussed in the first part. Then, on the second part, will deal with the other four fundamental pillars.
