Abstract

This paper analyse some notes and articles that appeared in the Catholic Publication El Buen Pastor. This publication was printed in Atiquizaya, Ahuachapan. The writings that will be referred to in this research are various texts on social issues that were carried out in this journal. Christianity has always shown sensitivity to social issues to the point that today there is a textual and documentary collection known as Catholic Social Doctrine. From this point of view, in El Buen Pastor it is usual to find social texts about the human work, youth, labors, communism, and protestantism. This would show that Catholic printed publications were not only concentrated in the country’s large cities but also in various parishes in the villages and that social issues were a priority for the editors of these publications.
