Abstract

The economy, like all social sciences, should lead to the enhancement of the well-being of the entire Salvadoran population; however, some economic policies implemented in the country have strayed from their main goal: human well-being, thereby oppressing the development possibilities of women and men. In this article, the author reflects on the oppressive nature of some economic measures and the state of poverty, as one of the most obvious faces of the oppressed population.
