Abstract

The article discusses the shortcomings in poverty measurement in El Salvador, highlighting that official data do not reflect the truth about this problem. Data provided by the Government itself demonstrate the true dimensions of poverty and reflect on its impact on the country ' s long-term prospects for economic development.
