Abstract

In this article, the author presents the way in which the foundations were laid for the formation of the Free Trade Agreements. It defines us very pedagogically what we should understand by FTA. The main point he would like to make is that FTAs are merely instruments of trade policy and cannot be seen as an end in themselves. From this point of view, we must be able to see their benefits but also their profound difficulties.
