Abstract

Parishes have currently followed a pastoral tradition focused fundamentally on sacramental assistance and attention to ecclesial groups and associations but were far from the mission of the Church that the Magisterium of the Church has initiated since the Second Vatican Council. This article advocates for a parish renewal, in which teams of priests serve the parish. This implies  territorial
reorganization, assignment of priestly teams, and understanding of the mission of the Church from a Latin American perspective as the people of God and Church of the poor.
