Abstract

This article aims to demonstrate the possibility of a heideggerian ethic beginning with the being-toward-death. To this end, we have divided it in three sections. The first of these attempts to show the relationship that exists between being-in-the-world and ethics, starting from Heidegger’s understanding of this. In the second section, we take an approach to the everydayness of Dasein, indicating some of the implications of this everydayness with clear ethical repercussions. Finally, in the last section, we attempt to show how being-toward-death can come to be considered as a founding ethic.
