The intention of this study was to measure the degree of distortion of 4 irreversible hidrocoloid being compared its deformation in the plane (XY). An experimental study was designed, carried out in the faculty of Dentistry of UNAN - LEON where the impressions by each selected hidrocoloid were taken (Jeltrate, Max Print Cyan, Vival NF, Rite Dent), obtaining a population of 20 models of study, 5 by each mark of irreversible hidrocoloid. The measurement of the models was made in a machine of coordinates (X, Y, Z) marks Mitutoyo-Japan that works with the program Geopack 500 with a margin of error of 0.0001mm. Statistically significant differences when applying did not appear analysis ANOVA and TUKEY.
