Abstract

Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz is a North American writer and social activist. She belongs to the feminist movement, the movement of solidarity with Nicaragua and the movement in favor of Native Americans. among others. A good part of this interview Is centered on the themes of her third book of memories "Blood on the Border: A Memoir of the Contra War", is related to the work that she carried out In Central America during the 80s decade: on the role of art in political work, on the Identity of Dunbar Ortiz as a writer, and on her experiences during her work In Nicaragua In the 80s decade, being both. a North American academic and a Native American activist.

Author Biography

Ariana Vigil

Ariana E. Vigil: Cleveland, Ohio, E.E.U.U., 1980. PhD en Literatura por la Universidad de Cornell (Ithaca, Nueva York) en 2008. Su tesis doctoral se enfoca en la solidaridad transnacional entre los/as latino/as de los Estados Unidos y Centroamérica durante los 80s. En la actualidad, trabaja como profesora en el Departamento de Estudios de Género y Mujeres en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte, Chapel Hill. Está escribiendo un libro que trata sobre el tema de las respuestas literarias y artísticas a la intervención militar norteamericana en Centroamérica y el Medio Oriente.
