The current context on training in Higher Education requires evidence for the achievement of learning in students. Given this situation, there are different actors in the academic performance of the student population: from psychological to social aspects. This becomes one of the main concerns of the teachers who teach the subjects.
However, there are not only psychological aspects that influence academic performance, but also those social factors intervening in such problem can be pointed out. In this regard, we can mention the person’s sex, their expectations of personal fulfillment, their aptitude or motivation; which are associated with academic performance.
It was found that for 44.9% of the students the academic load is considered one of the stressful factors, as well as the effects generated by it: 45.1% of them assured that this produces anxiety; 25% stated that it generates migraines and 19% generates irritability, which can become one of the triggers for other health conditions.
Similarly, the data found show the influence of factors such as domestic violence, the need to improve study habits; learn more study techniques and reduce the use of electronic devices to improve academic performance
