Abstract

The digital transformation process has mainly influenced small and medium-sized companies. Digital transformation is a very popular topic in the business and academic environment. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact in different ways on the digital transformation of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, to respond to the challenges they face (CEPAL, 2020).

This research describes how this process is being adopted in companies, seeking continuous improvement in operations in general, through the use of information and communication technology tools, such as social networks, online advertising, websites and the Internet. implementation of integrated management systems. All this for the proper management of your data and processes, in order to stay competitive in the market. In addition, some limitations are reported that imply the adoption of the aforementioned tools in small and medium-sized companies, which were the object of study.
