Continuous improvement in the application of the nursing care process is crucial within the profession. This research evaluates the nursing care process and theoretical application by nursing students when caring for children, assessing user satisfaction levels. A mixed-methods, descriptive, and evaluative study, including case studies, was conducted, employing investigative techniques and instruments such as structured observation guides, document review, checklists, and the CARE-Q (Caring Assessment Instrument) questionnaire.
Results revealed both strengths and weaknesses, including total approval by students regarding the process and the up-to-date application of nursing taxonomies. Mothers expressed satisfaction with the care provided. However, limited teacher involvement in strengthening problem-solvingbased learning methods, and a lack of logical relationship and scientific foundation in the care plans and nursing interventions were identified. This highlights the need for constant practice and teacher support in acquiring experience, knowledge, and new learning skills.
