Abstract

Since 2010, Universidad Catolica de El Salvador, Santa Ana, in a private public alliance with the National Commission of Micro and Small Enterprises, has implemented one of the Micro and Small Business Development Centers in the department; in which it is offered a series of services aimed to strengthen business development. 
Thus, in recent years there has been an economic growth in different sectors and, particularly in the touristic sector.
In this sense, the present article develops a characterization of the companies of the touristic and artisanal area attended by these entities, with the purpose of using said information for a more pertinent attention to them.
