Madam Editor,
This letter reflects on the successful approval of the Global Pandemic Treaty within the framework of the World Health Organization, analyzing the opportunities it will provide for countries to confront future pandemics. After a lengthy negotiation process, countries have almost finalized the draft Treaty, with only one contentious point remaining: the definition of technology transfer for pandemic-related products. The negotiation process reflected the challenges of balancing economic interests, public health, and global solidarity in preparing for future pandemics.
