The public university is immersed in a process of constant change given the epidemiological situation presented by the Covid19 pandemic. Higher level teachers have been participants in the necessary changes for the continuity of classes through the virtual modality with the use of information and communication technologies as digital tools for research.
The purpose of this work was to know the competences in information and communication technologies that teachers have; and the use of digital tools for academic processes, research and management at the National University of Pilar in Paraguay. The approach chosen for the work was qualitative, through the study of multiple cases. The selection of the sample was made based on an intentional homogeneous amount, and was made up of five teachers from the Systems Analysis career in the technical areas.
Teachers have skills in information and communication technologies, in addition to using digital tools for both their academic activities, research and information management. They carry out exchanges of experiences, knowledge and practices with peers and colleagues, strengthening network learning.
