The article deals with the relevance of starting from a human rights approach, in particular the right to education, for the design of a model for the self-evaluation processes of the medical specialties of the University of Costa Rica. The model emphasizes four characteristics - and their related elements - that safeguard the right to education: availability, accessibility, acceptability and adaptability. Later, it is proposed how, based on the reality of the context of the medical specialties, the four typologies mentioned will be taken into account in the self-evaluation model.
