Abstract

This paper attempts to analyze the concept and implications of the fight against torture from the perspective of the United Nations Universal System through the various processes in international treaties that protect the rights of persons deprived of liberty and regulate the use state forces. Subsequently, an analysis of the last Universal Periodic Review of the United Nations of Argentine state is made regarding issues of allegations of torture, as well as the current state of national and Buenos Aires mechanism of prevention.
