Abstract

This article discusses the legal results in the research "Digital privacy for human rights defenders? A study on how the legal frameworks from El Salvador, Guatemala , Honduras and Nicaragua can be used for the protection, criminalization and / or digital surveillance of human rights defenders ", which was conducted by Fundación Acceso in 2015. It aims to analyze the legal frameworks related to the right to digital privacy on the Internet and telecommunications in these four countries, both at the constitutional level, as well as in other laws and jurisprudence, taking into account the international standards in this area as a reference.
