Abstract

Political socialization is a process of social learning through which citizens acquire beliefs, feelings, and information toward achieving their maturity and political identity (Sotirovic and McLeod, 2004). It includes some of the main socialization agents such as exposure to the media, the influence of new technologies and their effects. There is evaluated the shape of the political attitudes of the young people from the influence of the traditional and/or digital means, using a quantitative methodology. Digital media reinforce the interest and political learning that the individual already possesses, through its information channels.
