Abstract

The academic nature of this article shows the relevance of prenatal education as a precursor to health and the development of skills in early childhood. During this period, the window of opportunity to be more exact, significant learning is defined that modifies the structures of the nervous system, providing skills and abilities in all areas of a child’s development. In this sense, prenatal education is a tool that facilitates actions on a variety of comprehensive care issues. Therefore, it is correct to say that education during the prenatal period ensures the development of skills through stimulation and health promotion activities. Interventions must be comprehensive, addressing maternal and child needs to promote the maximum development of the baby during pregnancy and after birth. The Pan American Health Organization mentions how the positive influence during pregnancy transcends into the neurological development which evidences genetic and epigenetic processes on the socio-emotional skills, early learning, health and development of the baby in the womb.
