Abstract

The Popular and Solidarity Economy has been part of the structural changes in Latin America, leading to the growth of various economies from the formal and informal sectors. The main objective of the research is to identify the determining factors that affect the transforming process of the associative sector of the Popular and Solidarity Economy, Pasaje canton. The methodology is quantitative with a statistical tool, the population under study corresponds to the associative sector, 45 surveys were applied to the representatives of the businesses, the information was tabulated with a cross-tabular procedure. The results demonstrated a significant relationship between the associative transforming process and the variables productive activities, income, financing and principles of Good Living in the Popular and Solidarity Economy. The conclusions explain that the Popular and Solidarity Economy affects socio-economic development by promoting entrepreneurship and generating well-being in families with fair trade and Good Living in the community.
