The assessment of educational research based on a andragogical approach

This is a descriptive work on the methodological actions and the teaching profession as tools for evaluating educational research in the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), as seen from an andragogical approach, in the central area of El Salvador. The study included a population of 6.810 students and a convenience sampling of 269 faculty members, based on the statistics provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT 2018, given its Spanish acronym). It includes 10 interviews given the easy access to e-mails. The Cronbach´s Alfa coefficient was .973, with a higher reliability level in the instruments used. Among the outstanding findings in the didactic actions taken to evaluate educational research, writing articles is highlighted as one of them, as a minimum; the methodologies used promote the competency of conducting research, and an andragogical approach is applied in the participation.
