This review points out the most important aspects of the article “The research question,” by Carlos Alberto Ramos Galarza. The research question (PI, given its Spanish acronym), is a medular part in every scientifc study carried out in a variety of contexts, including the academic and the professional ones. A synthesis was made in order to conduct the review. First, a comprehensive reading of the article was carried out, and then, its most relevant elements were pointed out. In addition, comments highlighting Ramos-Galarza’s point of view were included. In conclusion, the author’s contribution allows readers to have a wider scope at the moment of elaborating a research question, since, if this were erroneously stated, it could be detrimental to the entire research.
